NOMA MONCLOVA SA de CV   (10/04-10/05)

PLANT MANAGER:  Wire harness manufacturing for the agricultural & heavy industry. Responsible for the total operational performance of the plant with 650 employees and $30 MM dollars in sales. In charge of materials, quality, engineering, purchasing, finance and human resources.

 

·   Improved productivity from 42% to 65% and saved floor space through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques and the Stonebridge Production System.

·   Reduced WIP by 50% to 200,000 USD by leveling production scheduling.

·   Reduced raw material inventory from 1.8 million USD to 1.4 million USD by implementing line cycle counts and sending only material kits to the line, rather than standard packs.

·   Increased inventory accuracy by 7% to 99%. Improved inventory turns from 8 to 10 setting a new goal to 12 by the end of the 2005.

TYCO ELECTRONICS (10/02-10/04)    

GENERAL PLANT MANAGER:

 Wire harness manufacturing for the automotive industry. I was responsible of plant operations of the manufacturing facility with 1500 associates and $50 MM in sales. Reported directly to the Vice-president. In charge of coordinating all departments and areas including P&L responsibility, business plan development and execution.

·   Increased production efficiency from 60% to 80% reducing direct labor.

·   Reduced WIP and Raw Material inventory by establishing satellite plants in Hermosillo.

·   Reducing overall Operation Costs by over 20%.

·   Developed suppliers to validate as approved vendors. Obtained QS-9000 certification.

·   Improved space in order to fit additional business and new products through lean manufacturing.
